The Kellogg Conference Hotel
is our on-campus hotel where families and friends of the Gallaudet community
are welcome to stay.
The hotel is designed to be deaf-friendly,
with signing staff, doorbells, and videophones in each of the rooms.
Rentable meeting spaces abound,
and the Swindells Auditorium hosts intimate presentations and talks.
A free shuttle bus service
stops outside the front of the hotel
taking passengers to either the NoMa Metro Station or Union Station
for quick and easy travel across the city.
By the Kellogg Hotel, we see the original location
of the Kendall School Division II for Deaf Negroes,
which, in a few years, will become the location for
the new Louise B. Miller Memorial.
The memorial will honor Miller’s tireless legal advocacy
that paved the way for Black deaf and hard of hearing students
studying on campus.
An immersive and complete experience is planned,
including beautiful gardens, community spaces, and water features,
designed for all to reflect, connect, and honor.
We look forward to what's to come!
