Hello, I’m Eliyas, Eli for short,
and I'm from DC!
I’m a Kendall Green student,
meaning as a kid I attended
Kendall Demonstration Elementary School (KDES),
graduated, then attended
Model Secondary School for the Deaf, (MSSD)
graduated, and now
I'm a Gallaudet University student!
I'm double majoring in
Communication Studies and Government.
We are up the hill, outside the
Laurent Clerc National Deaf Education Center,
The Clerc Center, as it’s called,
is a way for Gallaudet to invest in
and create nationwide resources for
for deaf and hard of hearing children,
their families,
and the professionals who work with them.
The Kendall Demonstration Elementary School
focuses on local children from birth-8th grade,
and the Model Secondary School for the Deaf,
which is a residential high school program.
Gallaudet students who have deaf or hard of hearing children
can enroll their children at
Kendall School or MSSD at no charge,
so everyone in the family
can get a world-class education!
Welcome to Gallaudet
