Hi, I’m Majalyn Calderwood, CODA from Michigan, majoring in interpreting. We are here outside of a dorm the Living and Learning Residence Hall. [NAME SIGN] Benson Hall, [NAME SIGN] Clerc Hall, [NAME SIGN] Carlin Hall, [NAME SIGN] and Ballard West. [NAME SIGN] Each dorm is designated for certain student populations, Benson Hall is for all first-year students under the age of 21. Second-year students live this dorm, LLRH6. Safety is a priority, and building access is managed via room keys and building ID cards. Each residence hall has Resident Assistants (RAs) who are students themselves, and who manage assigned floors and front desk office coverage. RAs work with Peer Advisors to host educational, fun, and wellness-related programming for their residents so that living on campus is an immersive and comprehensive experience.
